BYKOTA is a women's group that welcomes women of all ages who are interested in study of current Christian Women's concerns, as well as service to women and children both locally and throughout the world. Along the way, we like to have lots of fun and enjoy working with fellow BYKOTAns. Some of our current projects are:
BYKOTA stands for Be Ye Kind One To Another. If you are a woman who identifies with the purposes of BYKOTA and would like to find out about joining the group, please join us at 7:00 PM the second Wednesday of each month. See Kathy Burt, Nancy Wetmore, or Nan Fellers, or leave a message with the church office for details. All women are invited! BYKOTA will next meet July 8th at 6:30 PM at Umeko Buffet, 8385 Folsom Blvd. Call Sara Wilson for reservations or the church office, or sign up on the bulletin board. Reservation deadline is July 5th. |
Girl's Night Out meets the third Monday of the month, usually around 6:30 PM at the church. GNO is for all women, young and old, who wish to socialize and have some fun.
GNO next meets on July 20th at 6;30 PM at Debbie Avenell's home for dinner and fellowship. If you would like, bring a swimsuit and towel for swimming. Swimming is not required. Bring your favorite salad for a salad potluck. Beverages provided. |
Bible and Bag lunch meets every Wednesday at noon. You are invited to come to the church with your sack lunch and enjoy a time of fellowship before we begin Bible Study. We encourage everyone to share their views and to help us all learn to apply the scriptures to our lives. Led by Rev. Ted Firch, all are welcome! |
Every Wednesday, First Christian Church prayer fellowship meets at 6 AM at Denny's on 7900 College Town Drive. You are invited to join our group for a weekly faith-lift! We have breakfast together and share in study and prayer. We conclude by 7 AM, so that professionals can get on to work. Led by Vickie Firch, all are welcome! |
DORCAS meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 AM. Come join us for the study and fellowship. DORCAS will meet on July 8th at 10 AM in the Fireside Room. |
Let's Go meets the first Tuesday of the month around 11:30 AM. The fellowship and contact with each other is important. Sign-up sheets will be on the bulletin board 2 Sundays ahead. Anytime more than 16 sign up we'll begin to expand out into the social hall...definitely for bingo! Always remember our parking lot has numbered slots rented out...utilize unnumbered slots and handicapped parking. Let's Go Seniors will next meet July 7th. Lunch is provided, bring a salad, sodas and/or dessert. |
Book Club usually meets once a month whenever the group can get together. Book club currently has about 10 members, but there's room for a couple more. It's fun, try it, you might like us. Book Club next meets June 28th at 2:30 PM at Nancy Fellers' home. The book to be discussed is The Little Heathens |
