BYKOTA is a women's group that welcomes women of all ages who are interested in study of current Christian Women's concerns, as well as service to women and children both locally and throughout the world. Along the way, we like to have lots of fun and enjoy working with fellow BYKOTAns. Some of our current projects are:
BYKOTA stands for Be Ye Kind One To Another. If you are a woman who identifies with the purposes of BYKOTA and would like to find out about joining the group, please join us at 7:00 PM the second Wednesday of each month. Girl's Night Out meets the third Monday of the month, usually around 6:30 PM at the church. GNO is for all women, young and old, who wish to socialize and have some fun.
GNO next meets September 20th at 6 pm at the Church. Potluck pasta night - bring your favorite pasta dish and story to share at the monthly gathering of "girls"! If you are working on a project for the Fall Harvest Festival, bring it to work on while we chatter. |
Bible and Bag meets on Wednesdays at noon in the Church Library. We bring sack lunches, and Pastor Ted leads a fast-paced, interactive study. We wrap up by 1:15 PM. All are welcome, and each week is a different lesson, so come when you can! |
Every Wednesday, First Christian Church prayer fellowship meets at 6 AM at Denny's on 7900 College Town Drive. You are invited to join our group for a weekly faith-lift! We have breakfast together and share in study and prayer. We conclude by 7 AM, so that professionals can get on to work. Led by Vickie Firch, all are welcome! For the next few weeks the group will be studying Christian humility. |
DORCAS meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 AM. Come join us for the study and fellowship. DORCAS will meet on September 8th at 10 AM at the church. |
Let's Go meets the first Tuesday of the month around 11:30 AM. The fellowship and contact with each other is important. Sign-up sheets will be on the bulletin board 2 Sundays ahead. Anytime more than 16 sign up we'll begin to expand out into the social hall...definitely for bingo! We gather at 11:30 AM and lunch is served at noon. Always remember our parking lot has numbered slots rented out...utilize unnumbered slots and handicapped parking. Let's Go Seniors will next meet September 7th at the church. |
Book Club usually meets once a month whenever the group can get together. Book club currently has about 10 members, but there's room for a couple more. It's fun, try it, you might like us. New members are always welcome. Questions - contact Priscilla Ross. Book club next meets August 29th at 2:30 PM at Nancy Fellers' house. We will be discussing Embroidered Truths by Monica Ferris. |

Loving support is a new group being started for people who suffer from depression or are having a hard time emotionally. We will study books together on the subject of healing and spirituality. Kathy Campbell is the leader. Loving Support next meets September 27th at 7 PM at the church. |
