Kevin Deibert
Kevin and his wife Tracy came to Sacramento from Denver, Colorado via Kentucky, North Carolina and beyond. He received a Masters of Divinity from Wake Forest in 2016. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regis University in Denver Colorado. Pastor Kevin’s done many things in life, from washing dishes to being a chief engineer for satellite television production and news gathering events such as the changing of the flag in the former Soviet Union to what is now Russia. Because of these different livelihoods, he’s travelled all over the world from Sarajevo and Somalia to Sacramento. Tracy and Kevin met and were married in Colorado and have a cat named Persi who runs the show.
At his last church in Cadiz, Kentucky, Pastor Kevin also served as the chaplain for the Trigg County Hospital and executor of the Trigg County Travelers Aid and the Cadiz Christian Church community assistance program. He believes that everyone is welcome at the table and in God’s house, “no matter who you are, where you’re from or what you’ve done. Our common ground is love and when Jesus says to love others (which includes mama Gaia), he means love everyone and everything as God loves you-unconditionally and to the full. No matter their gender, color, sexual orientation, capabilities, beliefs, faith tradition, sacred stories, plant, animal, mineral, star dust, rain or shine or none of the above. Exclusion doesn’t exist for the Spirit of God that creates, and permeates the seen and the unseen.”
